IRM Roofing was instructed by Coventry City Council to carry out industrial leaking roof repairs in Coventry at the Lythalls Lane Industrial Business Park. The existing brickwork and compo flaunting was deteriorating on the pillars due to years of weathering and rainwater ingress, causing leaks and damp forming to the interiors of the property.
It was decided to weather the brickwork with a formed metal cap flashing to be installed by IRM Roofing. We first installed OSB timber board to give maximum support with galvanized steel support brackets every 1,000mm. Then we installed the cap flashing.
Overall the industrial leaking roof repairs in Coventry took ten days to complete, utilising two of our IRM leaking roof experts. Along the way various minor repairs were also carried out, such as sealing and installing wire cages on all outlets to prevent gutter debris washing down the gutter pipes.
At the finish, the council surveyor commented and provided a letter of commendation as to the high standard of works carried out by IRM Roofing, despite the difficulties of working on an operational business site.
