As GRP rooflight installers in Birmingham, IRM Roofing was tasked by Dura Automotive to replace the outer skins of their factory grp rooflights and to clean the inner cavity voids, to allow more natural light to penetrate into the assembly floor below.
The existing natural light inside the factory was poor, and their hope was to achieve more natural light without the use of new electric lights. So initially two of the rooflights were replaced with class three 2.44kg/m2 grp rooflights to assess results, which proved emphatic. A plan was then put in place to undertake the rest of the works.
Because of the factory activity and obstructions below, our Birmingham rooflight experts were unable to install safety netting, therefore we carried out the grp rooflight installation by setting up temporary anchors from which to connect harnesses with inertia reels.
Below are photos from various stages of the grp rooflight installation. If you require GRP rooflight installers in Birmingham then please don't hesitate to contact IRM Roofing. We serve commercial customers all over the West Midlands.Click Here To Enquire And Contact IRM Roofing
